Composed 2018-19. I wrote this just for the love of it. In 2003 I had written a short motet, Come Holy Ghost. The piece is a parody mass which transforms the traditional plainsong hymn into the motifs of the motet, incorporating along the way all movements of the mass (excepting the Credo) and four verses of the Latin hymn, as well as the motet itself as a postlude. The mass is scored for SATB a cappella, with soprano solos.
